Loftus Footballers 1933/4

Loftus Senior School Football Team of 1933/34, in the familiar strip sponsored by the Golden Lion (believed originally black shirts with red collars and yellow/golden lion emblem. But do you recognise anyone in the photograph?

Rosecroft Pantomime, December 1978

Staff and pupils of Rosecroft School worked together to present the pantomime ’Dick Whittington’ in December, 1978. Many of the cast assisted with ‘self’ identification, whilst Mike Garbutt said: “It was a great show!!” and Debbie Shaw added: “Such a long time ago!!”

In the Sultan’s Court

Mr. Ingleby was one of the sailors on the ship that sailed overseas with Dick’s cat on board.   He is pictured here in the Sultan’s court, now identified as Keith Wheatman (the Sultan). Keith Wheatman confirms with: “Indeed that is me looking quite silly! The beginning and end of my acting career. Thanks for giving my daughter a good laugh.”

The Finale

It all ended happily ever after and Dick and Alice were joined on stage by the rest of the cast for the grand finale.
