This photograph of Skinningrove lads came in an envelope entitled “Russell Cup 1938”, it is known that the Russell Cup was always played at Loftus Cricket Club, the Archive would welcome assistance in identifying all in the picture, as well as a location and reasons.

Preparing for fishing in 1982 we have (left to right): David Cocks, Richard Noble, John Ewens, Trevor McConnell and Joanne Ewens in the pushchair. John Ewens told us: “This is my daughter Joanne Ewens, who now has three children of her own. taken approximately 1982, I’m central in the photograph.”

Looking at the waves behind, we are unsure as to whether this was before or after, but we have Les Holliday viewing the waves, John Essay is sitting in the boat ‘Cock-A-Leekie’, so called as it was prone to leaking! Richard Noble is seated on the tractor.
