Mary Hodges asks: “I think my mum may have been a pupil at the school. She was born in 1920 in Loftus. Her name was Lilian Catherine Thomas. It is believed that this photograph of the children attending Easington School was taken about 1902. Georgina Thurlow is the girl in the sailor dress, third from the right, second row from the back. The original image is mounted behind glass which is cracked. I have not attempted to touch up the image; feeling happy to show it how it is, over a hundred years old.
