I think the fashions would place that photograph at 1940 rather than 1960. Your selection of items makes for excellent reading.
Those fashions, particularly, the hats are not 1960. Late 1920 into the next decade. I well remember that in the 1950’s people would still dress up to go to the seaside at Redcar or Saltburn, strolling the town and shops all ‘dolled up.’
