The lady was well known in Loftus, but I don’t know who she married, do you? Barbara McBurney tells us: ”The lady is my cousin Judith Dobson, her husband is Kenneth Yates, Judith’s sister is Susan.” Brian Espiner adds: “Every boy in the class was in love with Susan Dobson when we were in Loftus Junior School. She was an absolutely brilliant artist from an early age. I worked with her a couple of times on the Christmas post, but was too shy to ask her out.”
